With no formal training, I decided to tackle the Standard Chartered Marathon this year. The first few kilometers were brutal, and I quickly realized my lack of preparation. I found myself walking more than running, but I was determined to see how far I could go. Surprisingly, I managed to cross the 38km mark, even though I was stopped by the organizers for exceeding the cutoff time.

However, I also learned a few valuable lessons along the way, ones that I’ll carry with me beyond the event

  1. Preparation is the key for execution.
  2. Your mind is stronger than you think.
  3. Start with Why?

Will I ever take part in another Full marathon?

No.
